FAQ/Policies

@chubbycheekphotography

I hope most of the questions you may have can be answered here, but if not, please don't hesitate to drop me a note! I'm happy to help!

When and how do I buy?
As of May 1, 2019, release format has changed from Ready-to-Ship to Made-to-Order! This means that I will release a limited number of listings (per vintage textile) to be made into custom outfits in the customer's desired size and style of outfit! Batches are released on a specific date and time (typically every 2-ish weeks), and are sold first-come, first-served. Because slots can tend to sell out quickly, I highly suggest being ready to "cart" and purchase your desired items as close to release time as possible.

Previews and release dates are all posted on my Instagram @standardofgraceshop. Please check back often for the most up-to-date info!

Items tend to sell so fast; how can I increase my odds of purchasing an outfit on release days?
I am so, so thankful for the continued interest in these special outfits, but I know it can be frustrating when something is sold out before you can complete your purchase. The most important thing is to be ready to cart right at release time and keep refreshing the page until the items are available to add to your cart. And if you have Apple Pay, or One Touch payment with Paypal, I believe these are the quickest ways to check out.

Additionally, outfits can be bought/sold on the Standard of Grace Buy/Sell/Trade page on Facebook! This is a great place to score outfits from previous releases! The group can be found here!

When and how will my garment ship?
Ready-to-ship items will be shipped within 1-3 business days! For my US customers, First Class Shipping via USPS is FREE for purchases over $40. First class shipments typically take 3-5 business days to arrive. Customers may upgrade to Priority or Express Shipping during checkout if you need an item sooner than that.

Made-to-order pieces typically have a 2-3 week turnaround time. If you need your outfit sooner, a $10 rush option is available; in that case, your outfit will made and shipped within 5 business days.

*Once items are in the hands of USPS, Standard of Grace is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. If you would like to purchase shipping insurance (and I do strongly encourage shipping insurance for my international customers), please contact me prior to ordering!

Do you offer custom orders?
Please see the "Custom Orders" page for more information on how to get a custom Standard of Grace piece!

How does sizing work?
As we all know, clothing sizes can vary greatly between brands. Measurements and/or Sizing Guides can be found here! I highly recommend ordering based on the measurements provided instead of "Ready-to-wear" sizing to make sure you receive the correct fit for your child. Unfortunately, refunds will not be offered for incorrect size ordered.

Do you offer returns/exchanges?
Because items are one-of-a-kind, returns or exchanges are not typically offered. Please make sure you read product descriptions carefully before ordering. I take great pride in the garments I create and pay extra special attention to detail, but the nature of handmade items is that they may not be "perfect." However, that being said, if there is something wrong with the garment you receive, please contact me! I want you to love your purchase from Standard of Grace and will do everything I can to make sure you have a good experience.

A note on vintage/embroidered outfits--
Please keep in mind that these items are made out of vintage materials. Exact origins and fiber content are unknown and depending on the extent/condition of the embroidery, each outfit must be handled with extreme care. I highly suggest gently hand-washing these outfits to maintain their look and integrity. The placement of prints, patterns, etc. varies from piece to piece as each item is cut from a different section of the fabric. Also note that vintage and reclaimed fabrics are not perfect- there may be slight signs of age- these are not areas of damage- rather part of the fabric's history. I do my best to provide as much information as possible about the condition of the textiles, but if you have any questions, please ask before purchasing!

How should I wash my Standard of Grace item?
All fabrics are pre-washed (in dye and perfume-free detergent) prior to garment construction, so minimal additional shrinkage should occur. However, I still recommend that all items be washed in cold water (preferably on gentle cycle) and either hung to dry or tumble-dried on low to make sure your item stays looking new.

If your item features particularly delicate embroidery and/or hand-sewn buttons/embellishments, it is recommended that the item be washed by hand to maintain the integrity of the materials.

Standard of Grace items are not intended for unsupervised sleeping. Some products may contain ties and/or small pieces that could become choking/strangulation hazards. Standard of Grace is not liable for any accidents, related or unrelated, that may occur while wearing Standard of Grace products.

Your Standard of Grace purchase means that you agree to the above terms and policies.

A million thank you's for your support!
